To our valued customers, loyal supporters, family and friends,
It is with great sadness that I must announce the closing of our original drive thru location at 12801 175th Street in Woodinville in front of McCorry’s on the Slough. Today, October 26, 2016 will be our final day.
On December 15th 1998, I opened the very first Mercurys Madness Espresso in this exact location. As many of you recall, a few years later while opening our second and third stores in Redmond & Fall City, our name evolved into Mercurys Coffee Co. It’s crazy to think that it’s already been 18 years since that day back in December of 1998. There have been so many amazing experiences, interactions, life lessons, smiles, tears, challenges and accomplishments in this building. We have experienced hundreds of thousands of interactions with all of you throughout this time. We have watched your children come into the world and grow up to be young adults, families grow from small to large and younger to older, we’ve seen some of you become grandparents, watched young employees grow up to be wonderful adults, some with families of their own now. We have witnessed and been part of so many amazing and indescribable experiences but most importantly, over these past 18 years, we've been blessed with the privilege of being welcomed into this great community, supported along the way, and included in the daily lives of you and your families. For this we will be forever grateful! No words can describe how special it has been to be part of this community at this location for so many years. It has truly been a wonderful ride and an amazing journey. THANK YOU!!!
Since I realize this news may be sudden for many of you, we would like to share our reasons for closing. Despite a decade-long agreement between myself and the late McCorry’s owner Hal Larson to continue operating in this location as well as to purchase the property from the estate, the heir has decided not to honor the agreement or allow us to continue operating at this time. This is even more painful for me personally since from the first days of Mercurys Hal was a mentor, father figure, trusted business partner and confidant. He was and is still loved, missed and cherished. I have tried continually since the time of Hals passing to remedy the situation so that we could continue to operate and serve the downtown Woodinville community in this location but unfortunately at this time we have exhausted our options so with an extremely heavy heart we are forced to close this location.

And last but not least we are opening a flagship roastery and café in Bellevue in the old Ambiente Tile building at Plaza 520 – 13102 NE 20th St, Bellevue WA 98005
Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time of transition and especially for all of your support over the past 18 years has been amazing. We truly value your loyalty and support and we will continue creating the most amazing coffee, experiences, and culture found anywhere in the industry.
